If every U.S. state declared war against the others, which would win? My money is on South Carolina.

I believe our state would be pretty good in such a situation because we are rough and rugged an love to be the first to start a fight. We took up the fight first in the Revolutionary War as well as the Civil War. Granted, we eventually got crushed in the second one. But still ...

Any way, someone has done a much more detailed analysis of what would happen in such a scenario based on real factors, including "the ability to be self-sufficient, economic strength, military strength, the will to fight, and the population to support a powerful war machine."

It's an interesting, detailed read about something that won't ever happen:

If every U.S. state declared war against the others, which would win?
