You can't make this stuff up:
Funny man (and Charleston native) Stephen Colbert leads in a new poll from Public Policy Polling, which was one of the most accurate polling firms during the 2012 election cycle, about who should replace outgoing Jim DeMint in the U.S. Senate.
The guy I suggested - former Gov. Mark Sanford - polls in the single-digits, while the odds-on-favorite, Rep. Tim Scott, is the leading candidate when Gov. Sanford and his ex-wife Jenny Sanford (a strong choice in the poll as well) are removed from the options.
South Carolina is a great place for politics. This is just more proof.
