The importance of picking your fights
Others can take from this whatever they will. This is what I take from this episode:
I regret more every day voting for Sen. Lindsey Graham twice and grow more certain that I won't make that mistake again. I did not vote for him because we agreed on everything. I voted for him because he came across as a statesman. That's no longer the case.
In fact, I'm growing more certain that I will vote against him if he faces a primary challenge. Maybe he will pick up extra Tea Party supporters because of actions such as these and that will more than cancel out a vote like mine. If that's what he has been pushing to accomplish the past few years, he needs to be congratulated, because he has succeeded.
