This is the type of story that screams knee-jerk reaction when a bit of caution is in order.
Conway couple arrested on cruelty charest for allegedly spanking child
A couple being arrested for "spanking" a child seems over the top. But I imagine the law enforcement officials who did the arresting know the difference between the kind of spanking that is well known in an area such as ours - and is often proudly boasted of, in fact - and child abuse.
Of course, there are some who believe any form of spanking is abuse. For this particular case, I want to know a lot more of the particulars before I even begin to judge it.
I hope others are taking the same approach.
