Former Carvers Bay star Kwame Geathers declares for NFL draft

I only strongly hinted in Sunday's story what Kwame Geathers, a graduate of Carvers Bay High School and defensive tackle for the University of Georgia for the past few years, would tell his coaches when he sat down with them on Sunday to talk about his future.

He had already made the decision to bypass his final year of eligibility - he was a fourth-year junior - to go into the NFL draft. He just didn't want it on the front page of the paper until after he had the sit down with the coaches, out of respect for them.

Projections have him going anywhere from the 2nd to 6th rounds, and he is trying to figure out which agent will represent him and how best to get ready.
