NRA president angry with newspaper, with good reason; Conservative Justice says 2nd Amendment has limits

I'm not a big fan of the National Rifle Association, but it's president made a fair point about how irresponsible it was for a newspaper and Website to publish names and addresses of gun owners.

It was wrong. It was over-kill. It was reactionary rather than illuminating journalism.

The executive editor of The Sun News said so earlier this week.

Columnist Leonard Pitts is on record saying the same thing.

It was bad journalism, no excuses.

While I'm in the mood of finding reasons to agree with people I normally don't, I dug up this old Fox News Channel TV clip of Justice Antonin Scalia talking about the 2nd Amendment.

His comments surprised and heartened me:

Scalia’s establishment take on ‘gun control’ should be no surprise to gun owners
