Reaction to Obama's gun violence prevention proposals? From the left? From the right?

President Obama unveils a $500 million package and lists 23 executive orders

I'm just getting back from some interviews so I haven't had a chance to digest this yet. I'm wondering what others are thinking?

And another question on this topic: Could he have push forward any recommendations on this topic that would not have upset a lot of people on either side of the aisle?
