The U.S. Senate now officially resembles a bunch of middle school students on the playground.
I watched Sen. John McCain tell Fox News the reason many GOP Senators filibustered a Secretary of Defense nominee for the first time in history was because former Sen. Chuck Hagel had many disagreements with Republicans during the Bush administration and said things that hurt their feelings. Never mind that we are trying to figure out how to responsibly get out of Afghanistan, pivot to the Asian pacific and fight terrorism, the feelings of our Senators matter more.
And did I tell you that Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is one of the leaders of this petty political fest? It's ridiculous.
Oh, another part of the conspiracy being bandied about concerning Hagel has been debunked.
