Are people getting $3 in Medicare benefits for every $1 in taxes? Yes.

There are many people on Medicare who want just about everything else concerning government spending cut and say their position is logically solid because they paid for what they receive in Medicare. Each of us pays taxes, even the poor who receive food stamps.

Health care costs - mainly through Medicare because of the retiring largest generation in history - is the primary threat to our long-term fiscal health as a country. We have to do something about it.

Are people getting $3 in Medicare benefits for every $1 in taxes?
