Desmond Tutu said he would choose Hell over a homophobic heaven. Would you?

Two of the world's spiritual leaders made waves during the past couple of days concerning the treatment of gay people.

The first was civil rights icon Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa:

Tutu would choose Hell over a homophobic heaven

And the second was Pope Francis:

Pope: 'If someone is gay who searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who am I to judge?'

Those are powerful statements of equally and humility.
