Malcolm Brogdon, a 6-4 senior guard who is committed to Virginia and was one of the most polished players in the tournament, recorded 28 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals while committing just one turnover in 30 minutes for Greater Atlanta Christian.

Wheeler guard Karriem Simmons scored 19 points and added three steals in the consolation championship.

Beach Ball delayed 90 minutes

Vinny Zollo was a one-man delay at the Beach Ball Classic on Friday afternoon.

The Clark County (Ky.) 6-foot-9, 240-pound senior center shattered a glass backboard on a dunk attempt 3:38 into the second game of the day – the consolation championship against Wheeler (Ga.).

Led by 6-foot-9 senior center Vinny Zollo, who had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Clark County outscored St. Rita 36-14 in the paint and outrebounded the Mustangs 44-29.
