Just got home from Coastal's 28-7 win over North Carolina A&T, which sent the Chanticleers to their bye week at 2-2. This post will be fairly short, and my next one will tell you why.
A large number of Coastal football fans are getting restless with the team's struggles, but just be glad you aren't a fan of this team. Coastal quarterback Zach MacDowall was hospitalized overnight after suffering from dehydration following Wednesday's practice. His status for Saturday's game with North Carolina A&T (7 p.m., Brooks Stadium) remains uncertain.

Coastal Carolina's game at Liberty scheduled for Oct. 17 will be broadcast live in the Myrtle Beach area on either WPDE or WWMB, the Big South announced Wednesday. The league previously announced one of the networks would air the Coastal at Stony Brook game on Oct. 24. In addition, No. 24 Liberty's matchup with No. 6 James Madison will also be televised live on WWMB this Saturday at 7 p.m.

Here is Coastal coach David Bennett's response when asked tonight why he didn't choose to attempt a two-point conversion after Brandon Whitley's touchdown with 10:29 left that pulled the Chants within five of Towson at 21-16. Coastal instead converted the extra point.
Many of you are clamoring for David Bennett's response on why he didn't go for two after Brandon Whitley's fourth-quarter touchdown against Towson. I will pose this question to him later on today before practice. Here is my thoughts on going/not going for two in that situation.
