Monmouth game information

Coastal asked that I pass along some information on seating and promotions in advance of Saturday's home football opener against Monmouth (7 p.m.):

Due to ongoing construction of the Adkins Field House, spectators seated in the west (visiting) stands (sections 124-131) must enter through Gate 6 from University Boulevard throughout the 2009 season. They will not have access to the east stands but will have the same amenities provided (concessions, merchandise, restrooms, etc.) behind the west stands.

Here are some promotions for Saturday's game:

* The athletic department is asking that all fans wear teal to the game.

* The first 1,000 students will receive free teal t-shirts.

* The first 1,000 fans will receive free "Chant Calls." The duck calls are being given away at each home game by HTC, which featured Coastal coach David Bennett in a commercial featuring duck hunters this offseason.

* In conjunction with Armed Forces/Public Servants Days, Coastal is offering reduced admission to current members of the military, veterans and fire, police and emergency medical personnel. People who fit in that category can purchase tickets for $8 by bringing a valid identification or wearing their uniform when making their purchase at Coastal's ticket booth. Call 843-347-TIXX with any questions.
