"My thinking was that I could be there as an interim AD for three to six months, evaluate the program and help them hire the perfect candidate," the 67-year-old told the paper. "But they were more interested in a full-time AD. I couldn't in good faith take the job and move there for three to five years."
Robinson, who has served as men's basketball coach and athletic director at N.C. State, The Citadel and East Tennessee State, said earlier this week that he was open to listening to what Coastal is offering.

Robinson took himself out of the CCU picture! Good news! What a phony!
His candidacy was based on self-promoting himself(like Cliff Ellis did) thru the interview process. But, he didn't realize the Coastal faithful remembered he led the fight against Coastal's interest in joining the So Con, when he was Citadel's AD.

There is so much dead wood that needs to be cleared out of here the LAST thing we needed was to hire another crony of a crony looking to pick up a check at the expense of the school.
