A couple pre-game injury updates from Brooks Stadium

Sophomore center Pat Williams, who missed Coastal Carolina's game last weekend with an injured ankle, is expected to start tonight against Stony Brook.

And sophomore defensive end Jamel Davis (concussion) -- who earned Big South defensive player of the week honors after an impressive first half against Presbyterian last week -- is expected to play tonight, but he will not start.

Instead, junior defensive end Corey Hawkins will make his first career start tonight. Hawkins has played in only three games this season, logging six tackles and one sack. He saw limited action in 21 games over the last two seasons as a reserve.

Meanwhile, sophomore defensive end Chris Thomas, who was held out for disciplinary reasons last week, is expected to play tonight. Thomas had started the first five games of the season and is third on the team with 4.5 tackles for loss.
