Saundra Rhodes, captain of investigations for the Horry County Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, took a picture with The Big Show, a popular wrestler with the WWE.
Rhodes is here working, but she couldn't pass up the chance to meet one of her son's wrestling heroes.
The Big Show showed up in the lunch tent about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and signed photographs and took pictures with fans.
Rhodes, whose 10-year-old son Cameron was not there to meet him, is a huge fan of The Big Show who is a husky man standing 7 feet. Capt. Rhodes told The Big Show Cameron wanted to be a wrestler.
"He said tell your son to go to college and own the company," Capt. Rhodes said."He is so personable."
The Big Show, along with Jeff Gordon, will be celebrities helping with the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition build of Derrick and Amanda Suggs' home in the Allsbrook community outside of Loris.
"He will grab you by that big hand and just choke slam (his opponent)," said Robert Kegler, public information officer for Horry County Police Department.
Kegler will take Cameron Sunday to see The Big Show at The Florence Civic Center.
"I have followed them all over this state," said Capt. Rhodes. "We have been to Charleston, Florence several times and Columbia to see the (WWE) guys. Mommy needs a break, and (Kegler) is a big kid so he can take Cameron."
