Before even taking office, he ranks eighth on Golf Digest's list of playing Presidents (In the January 2009 issue) Though he doesn't play often, he did play during a vacation in Hawaii in August, and he'll be the 15th of the past 18 presidents who has played golf. John F. Kennedy and his stroke average of about 80 tops the list. Calvin Coolidge, who left his golf clubs behind when he departed the White House in 1929, is ranked 15th. Bill Clinton is just in front of Obama at No. 7, though he was notorious for using mulligans.
