BMW event among the Nationwide's best

The recently completed BMW Charity Pro-Am is notable on the Nationwide Tour for at least a couple reasons.

This year marked the 19th consecutive year (since 1992) the Nationwide Tour has played in the greater Greenville, S.C., area. Only four tournaments have been on the schedule longer. Events in Boise, Idaho; Knoxville, Tenn.; Springfield, Mo., and Wichita, Kan., remain from the Tour’s inaugural 1990 season.

The event is also won by the best players on tour. The eventual Nationwide Tour player of the year has won three of the last four BMW Charity Pro-Ams. They are Ken Duke in 2006, Nick Flanagan in 2007 and Michael Sim in 2009.
