Sorenstam takes part in unique charity event

LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam, PGA Tour member Briny Baird and PGA Teaching Pro and U.S. Veteran Don Vickery, the first and only double amputee Class A member of the PGA of America, took part in a unique challenge called “Chipping for Charity” to benefit the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund on Monday morning.

Each player hit 10 floating golf balls from the rooftop of a 40-story building at Waterside Plaza in Manhattan in an attempt to reach a floating bulls-eye target in the East River. PF Changs is offering everyone in the U.S. a free order of their signature Lettuce Wraps and will donate up to $100,000 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund based on the golfers’ accuracy.
