The Grande Dunes Resort Course will be the site of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program from Oct. 1 through June 23, 2012. Registration is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the course.
Grande Dunes Golf Academy instructor Karen Nicoletti will serve as the site director for Myrtle Beach's Girls Golf program, which offers girls ages 7 to 17 an opportunity to experience golf and competition in a friendly environment.
The program offers five levels of participation, from beginner to experienced players. Registration must be in person with a parent or guardian. The $175 registration fee includes golf instruction from LPGA and PGA teaching professionals, a LPGA-USGA Girls Golf cap, USGA Junior membership, admission to any LPGA event, prizes and summer clinics. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
