Vijay Singh is making his third start of the year this week at Pebble Beach, and first since he made headlines for using a substance that is banned by the PGA Tour as a performance-enhancing drug.
Coastal Carolina alum Dustin Johnson said Wednesday he doesn’t know much about the deer antler spray that has been the hot topic.
“I’ve never heard of it so I thought that it was kind of interesting,” Johnson said.
Johnson sees the need for the PGA Tour to address the topic. Singh met with PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem on Wednesday and had no comment following their conversation, and the tour is expected to soon act on any punishment for Singh.
“Obviously they’ve got steps they take to see what’s going on, assess the situation,” Johnson said. “They make their own ruling so you know that’s up to them.”
