Fans can query PGA Tour players and their wives through Yap On It

The benevolent PGA Tour Wives Association is partnering with Yap On It to host a question-and-answer series during the 2014 PGA Tour season.

Yap On It’s web platform allows the PTWA to connect directly with fans and raise awareness for the charities they serve. Each event will offer fans a unique opportunity to pose questions online to PGA Tour stars and their wives. The Series will kick off Weds. Jan. 15 during the Humana Challenge with current PTWA President Amy Wilson, who is married to tour member Mark Wilson.

The second of 10 events will be Jan. 22 and feature PGA Tour member Charley Hoffman and his wife Stacy.

Yaponit.com is an event-based Q&A website that enables fans to ask questions to professional athletes. Fans have the ability to vote up their favorite questions and athletes use a proprietary iPhone or Android app that allows them to quickly answer questions via text or voice messages.

Athletes will answer the top 20 questions based on fan vote. Yap On It co-founder Drew Parker is the brother of Sybi Kuchar, the wife of tour member Matt Kuchar.

The PGA Tour Wives Association is a Florida nonprofit organized to benefit other charities, particularly those that benefit needy children and their families. The association has given back through volunteerism and over $5 million in monetary contributions, and it is active at every tour stop.

In addition to fundraising, members participate in volunteer service projects, performing myriad services ranging from Habitat for Humanity builds to cooking in soup kitchens to playing with hospitalized children in communities where tournaments are held.
