Myrtle Beach native Ramon Sessions' debut with the Timbwolves had plenty of excitement as Minnesota prevailed over the New Jersey nets on Damien Wilkins' last-second putback on Wednesday night. That makes Sessions 1-0 with is new team.
Sessions scored five points, grabbed four rebounds, had two steals and an assist in the T'Wolves' 95-93 win. He played 19 minutes and was 2 of 4 from the field and hit one of two free throws.
One game down, 81 to go.
One game proved to be a pretty big deal for summertime Myrtle Beach resident Raymond Felton, who was a part of one of the worst losses in Charlotte Bobcats history on Wednesday. The Bobcats mustered just 59 points, a franchise low, in an 92-59 thumping at the hands of the Boston Celtics. Felton himself struggled, scoring nine points on 3-of-11 shooting as the team had just one player score in double figures.
Former Whiteville High School standout Chris Wilcox had a bittersweet start, with the Pistons winning 96-74 over the Grizzlies in a game where he was virtually a non-factor. Wilcox played just six minutes and scored just two points and grabbed two rebounds.
Former Socastee High coach Dan D'Antoni, now a Knicks assistant, didn't see his season get off to a great start as New Yok lost 115-93 to the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
Is Sessions starting or coming off the bench?

Sessions has come off the bench so far this year, but recently he has been getting as many, if not more, minutes than rookie point guard Jonny Flynn. I think they are trying different looks to get an idea of what works, because so far not much has.
