New York Post article: Kerr was no fan of Dan D'Antoni in Phoenix

I am a little late on this story but happened to stumble upon it Tuesday night. A New York Post article infers that former Phoenix GM Steve Kerr's lack of respect for then-Suns assistant Dan D'Antoni, the longtime Socastee High School coach, played a role in the Kerr-Mike D'Antoni rift in Phoenix that led to a breakup.

The story says:

While in Phoenix, Dan's presence was met skeptically by Suns brass, including former general manager Steve Kerr, who did not believe Dan had the proper credentials as a South Carolina high-school coaching lifer. Kerr, in fact, demanded Mike hire a defensive assistant for the staff, which ultimately led to their breakup.

To be fair, the entire article is not on this subject but is focused on Dan. And, coincidentally, I spoke with Dan last week and he said Mike relies on him heavily on the defensive end.
