With his offseason status once again likely to be uncertain, Myrtle Beach native Ramon Sessions gave the Cleveland Cavaliers one more lasting impression of why they should keep him around - and possibly even start him over Baron Davis.
With Davis held out, Sessions had 27 points, three assists and four rebounds in the Cavs' 100-93 season-ending victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
Sessions had a strong season and played even better when a regular starter. However, with Baron Davis' contract still in effect, Sessions likely will again be backup next year if he's in Cleveland at all. Speculation has been that the Cavaliers may take Duke's Kyrie Irving, a point guard, in the NBA draft.
If that ends up being the case, Sessions' services will certainly be available. It could be another long offseason for Sessions, who is with his third team in three years. However, he can take pleasure in the fact that he has done all he can to prove his worth.
Hopefully someone - the Cavs or another team - realizes that.
