Socastee High School alum Cornell Holmes has made the USA Select basketball program after recently trying out.
USA Select is an institution that puts American players on display for international teams looking for professionally talent from the U.S.
Another former Socastee player, Josh Fowler, played for USA Select years ago before landing a professional contract to play in Wales.

The political fallout for Obama could be far greater if there is no agreement. A default and government-debt downgrade could send the U.S. economy into another recession, potentially dooming Obama's prospects for re-election in 2012.
