Gilmore out of the running?

The Huntsville Times is reporting that Coastal Carolina coach Gary Gilmore might be out of the running for the Auburn job.

The paper reported that Gilmore's buyout, and a loss of substantial pension benefits in leaving South Carolina, have taken him out of the running. Auburn officials declined to comment on the matter this afternoon and Gilmore did not immediately return a phone call.

College of Charleston coach John Palowski is the frontrunner, according to the paper.

Can you explain the loss of money (pension) Gilly would incurr by leaving the state?
