I am confused by the Iraq war, the candidates and the media. We have one candidate who voted for the war but didn't expect the president to go to war. We have another candidate who voted for the war and thinks we should stay 100 years if necessary. We have another candidate who was not in the Senate but who would have voted against the war if he were in the Senate at the time the vote was taken.
We have the MSM that is in love with both the candidate that wants to stay 100 years and the candidate who wants to pull out as soon as possible. I am so confused. If I got any of this wrong I am sure one of the enlighten ones on the blog will set me straight.

Your confusion regarding Hillary is justified. She tried to play that vote both ways and the electorate wouldn't buy her game. As you may have noticed she is now only a "candidate" in name only-her chances of actually winning are about the same as mine in getting a date with Giselle Bundchen.
As far as the MSM media being in "love" with Obama and McCain I am sure both would take strong exception to that characterization.

As a denizen of the MSM, I can categorically state that I'm in love only with my wife and none of the candidates for president or any other office.

Denny and Prefab, You should read Wharton's blog at the State paper he says he is happy with both of them and doesn't care who wins. If there is a way to do a word count on the press's coverage of Obama and McCain I think you will see what I'm talking about.
Before you say they are the front runners, the press was pushing them from the very beggining like in Iowa.
Not that there is anything wrong with that but it will be interesting in the general election to see who gets jilted by the press.

Prefab, If you start acting like a man instead of a "femacrat", you might just get that date with Giselle. Don't blow a gasket, I'm just having some fun with you. In other words lighten up/

The present viewing of America’s economic situation, by both the federal politicians and the American news media, is very tragically incorrect!
They are both assuming that this economic downturn is going to be like all of the many others in this nation’s history, and that this country will eventually pull out of it in a short while without making any significant social changes. This, however - and very tragically - is a long way from the truth.
In the past America has had all the energy in needed while it began pulling out of an economic downturns: recessions or depressions. In other words, the cause was not the cost and availability of energy: petroleum especially. Today’s economic downturn, it is very, very different story, however!
Today’s economic downturn may be caused by an assortment of factors, but the leading culprit of the downturn is the growing shortage of petroleum in this country, along with the spiraling rise in the cost for its many, many uses.
This economic downturn is primarily CAUSED by the ever spiraling cost of energy - especially for petroleum; and until we invest a great deal of effort into converting to solar, wind, and ethanol for our main sources of energy, the United States is going the continually sink lower and lower economically, militarily, and socially!
Tragically, for the people of this great nation, both the Republican and Democratic Parties continue to ignore this truth!
