'Join me in defeating Sen. Graham on Nov. 4'

From the afternoon e-mail ... Bob Conley formally accepts the Democratic nomination to oppose U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham in the Nov. 4 general election:

BOB CONLEY, DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR UNITED STATE SENATE IS RELEASING THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT FOLLOWING THE CERTIFICATION OF THE VOTE IN LAST WEEK'S PRIMARY:

Fellow citizens and members of the media:

Thank you for the confidence you have shown by voting for me in the primary. I am excited and hopeful that the race to come will illustrate the importance of bringing true and meaningful change to our country.

Let me begin by thanking Michael Cone for the race he ran: clean, open, and honest -- as any good Democrat would.

The primary is over; South Carolinians have spoken. I invite Mike, his supporters, and all the good citizens of South Carolina to join with me to defeat Lindsey Graham on November 4th.

As your next U.S. Senator I will be a strong, independent voice for South Carolina. I will not sell our country and State to the highest bidder.  This will be a victory for everyone. I will take you with me to D.C., and, with you by my side, we will work to secure our borders, secure our jobs, and restore a strong and growing economy. 

I call on all citizens to join me in this struggle for the future of our State and Nation. Together we will bring change to The palmetto State and our great country.

It's like Dr. Paul all over again.

I tell people about Conley and the first thing out of their mouths, "Who?"

Which leads into the irony of a race this year between a RINO and DINO for the SC Senate.

Look into Conley the DINO running against a RINO this year. Hense, I even really looked at him.

Its not "hate"...it because Conley is a GOPer in Dems clothing. He has as much chance of beating Graham as Witherspoon did back in the primary.
