THURSDAY OPEN FORUM

Today begins the traditional biker-weekend one-way traffic pattern down Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, even as most residents and motorcyclists agree that overall traffic is down this year. Meanwhile, reporter Lorena Anderson has written about the city's use so far of its $1 million biker-control property-tax increase, possible plans for repealing it and how the proposed 1-percent sales tax might play into it in the future.

Otherwise, the world apart from rallies must still be turning, too. It's an open forum, so any topic is welcome.
