In the morning papers

Two interesting stories this morning from around the state worthy of note.

First, The State had a good story rounding up the state's response to continuing health care changes. The lede pretty much sums it up: "South Carolina’s strategy for implementing President Barack Obama’s health care law is simple: We’re not."

Second, the Post and Courier reports that Charleston is wavering in its moratorium on those sweepstakes cafes, and more than a bit frustrated at the lack of action from the legislature. Seems clear that it's something the legislature needs to address this coming session.
And I just can't ignore the story from the Knoxville News-Sentinel, in which Pigeon Forge commissioners warn that if they approve liquor by the drink sales, then they could be on the slippery slope to becoming another den of iniquity like Myrtle Beach. Heaven forbid!
