Republican picnic planned

The South Strand Republican Club is holding its annual free picnic from 2:30 p.m. until dark Saturday, July 12, at the Burgess Community Center, 10299 S.C. 707.

The Grand Strand Young Republicans and The Women's Republican clubs of Myrtle Beach and Conway are joining in hosting the gathering, and there will be free hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks, plus games, prizes and more. There are teams being arranged for horseshoes, softball and other activities.

People willing to bring covered dishes to share or who need more information are asked to call Bill Schweitzer at 215-5030 or Bill Blankenship at 421-7324.
