Brownback: Maybe next time

Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback canceled an appearance in Conway after re-arranging his schedule for an upcoming S.C. swing.

Brownback was going to be in the area Wednesday from 3:30 to 6 p.m., appearing at either at the Horry County Republican Party headquarters or at Sidewheeler Restaurant in Conway.

Jim Corbett, the director of Brownback's S.C. campaign, said Brownback will try to get to the area during additional visits in September.

GOP candidate to be in Horry Co.

U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., will make a campaign stop in Horry County on Aug. 15.

The presidential hopeful will land at around 3:30 p.m. and stay until around 6 p.m., said Jim Corbett, director of the Brownback campaign in S.C.

He will likely have a news conference and make an appearance either at the Horry County Republican Party headquarters and/or at Sidewheeler Restaurant in Conway.

"Everything is getting put into place," Corbett said.
