Georgetown, Waccamaw move into baseball polls

The first regular-season baseball polls from the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association were released Monday and two area teams jumped into the rankings.

Georgetown, coming off its fourth-place showing in a loaded IP Baseball Classic, is No. 9 in Class AAA after not being ranked in the preseason.

Waccamaw moved into the poll at No. 9 in Class AA while Conway dropped from No. 3 to No. 4 in Class AAAA.
