A closer look: North Myrtle Beach Chiefs football

Head coach: Denver Cromer, North Myrtle Beach

On the makeup of this year's team:
>>``We are going to be real young this year. We don't know who our quarterback is going to be. Right now it is about three candidates.''
The three QB candidates are sophomore Davis Trussell, senior Trace Mooney and junior Timmy Bellamy.

On the team's offensive philosophy switch from more of a spread to a version of the Wing-T:
>>``We are definitely going to be running the ball more. We are going to run some variation of the [Wing-T].''

On the team's inexperience:
>>``We are replacing practically everybody.  We have back Kelvin Chestnut, Brandon Johnson and Malcolm Green, and not many other starters. We are replacing probably 17 or 18 starters.''

RECRUITING NEWS:
>>Cromer said no one on his squad has received any scholarship offers at this point.
Kicker Zac Crowl could draw college interest with a solid season.
