The two regular season games both have importance for all four teams involved. Even though Carolina Forest has put itself in position to make this game meaningful, I don't think they are ready to beat Conway. One common opponent outside the region is Socastee, who Conway beat 41-15 while Carolina Forest won 10-7. South Columbus has a much better chance of knocking off West Brunswick. The Stallions are at home and have been playing teams the caliber of West very close in recent weeks. This may be the week they pull one of those close ones out.
As for the playoffs, it's hard to see Myrtle Beach and Carvers Bay losing and North Myrtle Beach pulling the upset, but the other two games could go to the underdog. Despite its struggles against the big boys on its schedule, Waccamaw has the firepower to knock off Cheraw. The Warriors probably still are a little behind the Braves in talent, but the gap isn't nearly as wide as it has been. If a break or two goes Waccamaw's way, they can win this game. As for Socastee at Hilton Head, I think the Braves have a shot. Hilton Head likes to throw the ball, but the Braves have seen as good as they are going to see from a quarterback in Everett Golson. But they will have to score some points. After looking at the teams, I would still go with Hilton Head but Hilton Head doesn't compare to the second seed out of Socastee's region in Lake City.
