It looks like former Myrtle Beach football coach Scott Earley is on the move again.
A report on WISTV.com says Earley will take over the job as the head football coach and athletics director at Lexington High School. The State newspaper is reporting that Earley is a finalist for the Lexington job, but he can't be officially offered the position until the school board approves of the move at a meeting Tuesday night. Chapin officials say Earley has informed them he will not be returning to the school as the football coach and athletics director next year.
Earley spent one year at Chapin and went 7-4. He left Myrtle Beach after the 2008 state championship season and received a substantial raise with the move from Myrtle Beach to Chapin.
At the time of Earley's departure from Myrtle Beach, he stated one of his reasons for the move was the ability to take on the athletics director responsibilites while being able to be a head football coach, something not allowed in Horry County these days.
