Conway's Allen signs to play college soccer

Conway senior Bren Allen signed to play collegiate soccer with USC Sumter last week.

Allen, a defender, is the first student from Conway High to sign to play college soccer in the last eight years.  He is a four-year member of the varsity soccer team and has played soccer since he was five years old.

“Bren Allen’s tough style of play and command of the defense makes him a great defender. His leadership is the key to our defensive success,” Conway coach Josh Cutright said. “We really wouldn’t be the same without him. There’s certain players that everyone looks up to -- that’s the kind of player Bren is. He’s our defensive leader and does what it takes to get the job done.”
