Tennessee offers Golson, but UNC still his destination

Myrtle Beach football coach Mickey Wilson said rising senior quarterback Everett Golson picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Tennessee last week.

Golson committed to North Carolina earlier this year.

While Wilson said Golson's commitment to UNC is still firm, having multiple options is a good thing for Golson. Wilson noted how many things on the college level can change from now until Signing Day next February.

Golson is one of the top-rated quarterbacks in the country and has multiple scholarship offers including offers from Stanford, Michigan and Virginia Tech among others.
