Andrews hoopster finds college home

Former Andrews boys basketball standout Cory Rush will play next season at Ranger College, a junior college in Ranger, Texas, according to Bret Swanson of jucojunction.com and Pawleys Island-based Swanny’s Roundball Review.

Rush, a guard, averaged 16 points, five rebounds and three assists last season as a senior at Andrews and was named to S.C. Basketball Coaches Association’s Class AA All-State team.

The Rangers finished 16-14 last season.

“Ranger is alot like Andrews – small town living – Cory should have no problem adapting,” said Swanson. “Ranger had five of seven sophomores move onto the four-year level for next season off this year’s squad.”

Ranger is located a little more than a hour's drive west of Dallas.
