West Brunswick baseball duo earns All-State honors

The North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association released its 2010 All-State Baseball Teams last weekend and two West Brunswick players were honored. N.C. State signee Jay Gause, a pitcher/third baseman, and junior shortstop Hunter Allen represented the Trojans on the all-state team.

Gause went 5-1 with three saves and 1.03 ERA with 96 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched and averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game as a senior. He also had a .349 average with two home runs and 22 RBIs.

Allen batted .433 with 15 RBIs
