For those of you stuck at home or behind a computer on Friday nights, there's a back-up option for you to watch your team play.
That is, at least, if you're trying to follow four of our local teams. HTC announced Monday that games featuring Conway, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Loris will be available live online at www.htcnetracer.net.
Fans can click on the advertisement link on the bottom of the page, and it will take you to a separate home page where you're one click away from watching any of those four teams. The links will provide viewers with video and audio from those games.
Additionally, HTC has released its schedule for its Game of the Week. Each week, HTC will also replay one game at 2 p.m. on Sundays on WWMB, Channel 16 (HTC) and then again at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays on HTC Channel 4, as well as on Video OnDemand. The schedule for the next four weeks is as follows:
Friday: Myrtle Beach at Carolina Forest
Sept. 3: Carolina Forest at St. James
Sept. 10: Conway at Socastee
Sept. 17: Waccamaw at Georgetown

I didn't mention it directly in my story from Friday night's Conway-North Myrtle Beach game -- there were so many story lines from the Tigers' 35-0 win -- but the job place kicker Ashton McCants did certainly deserves some credit.
McCants, a sophomore, was suited up for his first career football game. All he did was nail all five of his extra points and do a more-than-admirable job kicking off.
Conway coach Chuck Jordan was worried over the summer about the Tigers' special teams; it appears one facet of the forgotten unit is locked down. McCants wasn't simply squibbing his PAT attempts over the cross bar. He was getting good height while splitting the uprights.
The only two signs that he lacked experience came while kicking off. On one such kickoff later in the game, he knocked the ball out of bounds (granted, he was angling it deep in the corner and it was an inward bounce away from being text book).
And on an earlier kick off, McCants appeared to catch his right foot on the ground, forcing the ball nearly straight up in the air. The ball had the look of an onside kick. And even though it wasn't meant to be one, Conway players recovered the ball.
Word on the street is that McCants was spotted while kicking around a soccer ball at school last Spring. Jordan and Co. can now say they stumbled into a pretty good situation.
