Week 1 Picks (Part II)

Another week of high school football; another week of picks.

For me, that means a chance to improve my record from my humbling Week 0 picks.

This week, the interest in games in the area should start to rise. Not only is Class AAA powerhouse Myrtle Beach taking the field for the first time. We'll get to see if teams that stormed out of the gate (Carolina Forest, Andrews, Green Sea Floyds are capable of sustaining success despite struggles in recent history.

(Sports editor Shane Bowen's picks can be seen here. He's got the early season lead.)

Now, on to my picks for the week. Below, you will see my picks from last week. I finished the Week 0 with a less-than-stellar 5-4 record. Let's see if I can get this thing going in the right direction.
