This is the big rivalry week, with probably the two best area matchups tonight in Myrtle Beach-Conway and Hemingway-Carvers Bay.
Assuming Everett Golson plays for Myrtle Beach, the Seahawks still have to be the favorite, but it could be a pretty tight game. Conway has been up and down since Mykal Moody went out, but things really clicked last week. This game was played in heavy rain and a sloppy field last year, and Myrtle Beach didn't put the Tigers away until late. The forecast is for mostly clear skies and just a 10% chance of rain, which is good for Myrtle Beach. The Seahawks should make it four straight wins in the series.
Carvers Bay is at Hemingway in the area's other big matchup. The game last year was suspended at halftime and resumed the next day. Carvers Bay was winning a slugfest until the Tigers went to a hurry up offense. Hemingway put together a length of the field drive in the final minutes and scored with just a few ticks left on the clock. The Bears are almost 100% and that gives them a real good shot at the upset.
