Playoff dreams, and Week 10 Picks

Like Carolina Forest last night, Andrews and coach Steve Blanchard face a win-or-go-home game tonight.

The Yellow Jackets play at Bishop England, with the winner going to the postseason. For Blanchard, doing just that would complete another step in the overall rebuilding of the program.

Friday night pick 'em: Week 10

It's the final week of the regular season for most area teams and that means several rivalry games. The most meaningful game is probably Loris at Aynor, but Socastee at St. James has some intrigue, too.

Is Carolina Forest caught in a Catch-22?

For those of you who saw this morning's paper, there's a breakdown of what every area team in Class A-AAA needs to do Friday night to make it to the playoffs, for those squads that are still eligible.

What we didn't break down entirely was the Class AAAA schools, Carolina Forest and Conway. Those two schools still have two weeks of regular season games left, starting with the Panthers' game tonight at West Florence.
