Like Carolina Forest last night, Andrews and coach Steve Blanchard face a win-or-go-home game tonight.
The Yellow Jackets play at Bishop England, with the winner going to the postseason. For Blanchard, doing just that would complete another step in the overall rebuilding of the program.
But Blanchard had plenty more to say this week when it came to his team, its chances for the playoffs and how he takes every win and loss.
ON HOW HE'S APPROACHED THIS WEEK:
"I asked the kids the other day for kids to raise their hands if they’d ever been to the playoffs. Not one kid raised their hands. We’re still relatively young. If they’ve never been in that situation before, you don’t want to put undue pressure on the kid."
ON NOT HAVING ANYONE OUT FOR THE BISHOP ENGLAND GAME AFTER LOSING SEVEN STARTERS FOR THE SEASON FINALE LAST YEAR:
"I would say we’re relatively healthy because we did such a great job with our weight lifting routine.
I hope that shows the kids the value of the weight program."
ON WHETHER OR NOT HE CONSIDERS HIMSELF PATIENT:
"I want to see results now. I want to win today. I take every loss this year personal. This isn’t my job, this is my life."
