The Coastal Basketball Coaches Association, a group of area high school coaches, has released its preseason teams in advance of this week’s start to the season.
The first team includes two North Myrtle Beach players, Dylan Poston and Temarrick Hemingway, as well as Jordan Simbeck (Carolina Forest), Marshall McClary (St. James) and Myrtle Beach’s Everett Golson. Golson -- who has said he will leave school to enroll early after this semester -- was left on the first team in case he changes his mind.
CBCA third team: Philip Johnson (Loris), Ty Sessions (Socastee), Cortez Lynch (Carolina Forest), Teondre Bromell (Carvers Bay), Jamal Allston (St. James).
The group also released an All-Rookie Team, a list of players expected to contribute in their first year on the varsity level.
CBCA All-Rookie team: Patrick Gardner (Socastee), Jarvez Holmes (Carolina Forest), Broderick Carpenter (Myrtle Beach), DaQuan Wilson (Myrtle Beach) and Devante Claridy (Loris).
