All area high school basketball games scheduled for Tuesday night were postponed due to weather-related school closings. Horry and Georgetown county schools were in class Tuesday, but every area team was scheduled to play an opponent outside of the area, and each of those schools were out Tuesday.
While some schools were able to confirm a makeup date, several others did not know when the postponed games would be rescheduled.
Andrews will host Kingstree and Loris will host Marion on Wednesday with the girls games set for 6 p.m. and the boys games to follow. Carolina Forest will host West Florence on Saturday with the girls starting at 4 p.m. followed by the boys.
Green Sea Floyds will play at Hemingway and Myrtle Beach will host Wilson on Feb. 5. Each matchup will begin with the girls at 6 p.m. followed by the boys.
The postponed games were:
Kingstree at Andrews (rescheduled for Wednesday)
Marion at Loris (rescheduled for Wednesday)
West Florence at Carolina Forest (rescheduled for Saturday)
Green Sea Floyds at Hemingway (rescheduled for Feb. 5)
Wilson at Myrtle Beach (rescheduled for Feb. 5)
Waccamaw at Mullins (not yet rescheduled)
Dillon at Aynor (not yet rescheduled)
Latta at Carvers Bay (not yet rescheduled)
Schools with games postponed Monday also did not know when those contests would be rescheduled. Georgetown was to play at Socastee and St. James was scheduled to face North Myrtle Beach in basketball Monday, but those games were postponed because Georgetown and Horry county schools were not in session Monday due to the winter weather. Both matchups have yet to be rescheduled.
