A few area athletes that signed to play college athletics didn't appear in the list that ran in Wednesday's paper.
>>Andrews offensive lineman Michael Mabry signed with The Citadel. Mabry was one of 13 players to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday and one of three offensive linemen. The 6-foor-1, 280-pounder was a North-South All-Star Game selection, a member of The Sun News' Toast of the Coast team and also played in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on Dec. 31.
>>Former Myrtle Beach defensive back Demazio Skelton signed with Georgia State. Skelton was the Toast of the Coast Defensive Player of the Year in 2008 following the Seahawks' AAA state championship run. Skelton was one of three junior college players from Georgia Military College to sign with the Panthers as part of a nine-player class for coach Bill Curry. The Panthers didn't graduate a single scholarship player from last season, which was the program's first season.
>>Myrtle Beach boys soccer standout Hart Zwing signed to play collegiately at Furman. The midfielder had eight goals and 13 assists as a junior, when he was named to the Toast of the Coast Boys Soccer team and the All-Region VII-AAA squad.
