Myrtle Beach girls basketball senior Shatia Cole was named to the South Carolina squad for the 2011 Carolinas' All-Star Basketball Challenge.
Cole, a 5-foot-5 guard for the Seahawks, is the area's lone representative in the all-star game, which is comprised of the top senior boys and girls basketball players from North Carolina and South Carolina. The Carolinas' Challenge will be held March 19 at Socastee High School.
The North-South All-Star Game selections are expected to be released early next week. The North-South game will be played March 19 at North Myrtle Beach High School.
